An elegant glass-and-steel community market building, reminiscent of the historic railroad building that preceded it, is proposed as a permanent home for the Bellingham Farmer’s Market and other community events on Railroad Avenue.
Bellingham Mayor Mark Asmundson unveiled plans for Depot Market on February 24 and announced the public/private partnership that has formed to make this grand vision a reality.
An open house about the project, hosted by the Depot Market Committee and the City of Bellingham, is planned for 7 p.m. Thursday March 11 at the Bellingham Public Library Lecture Room. For information, contact Bellingham Planning and Community Development at 676-6880.
