The City of Bellingham Hearing Examiner will hold a public hearing to take testimony on the following proposals:
VAR2012-00008 / SUB2012-00011
Consideration of lot width
variances from Bellingham Municipal Code (BMC)18.36.020E as part of a two-lot Short Plat utilizing BMC 18.36.020A6, Lot Averaging. The request would reduce the interior lot width requirement from 60 feet to 52.19 feet for each lot and divide the subject property into two separate lots. The proposal is located at 1915 Electric Avenue, and legally described as: Lots 8
9, BLK 2, Eldridge's Park Add to Bellingham. Bill and Carla Dotinga, owners/applicants. Residential Single Land Use Designation. Silver Beach Neighborhood, Area 11.
: Conditional Use Permit request for change of use of an existing building from a warehouse/office to a church. No changes to parking area (16 spaces required and there are 23 existing on-site), and minor changes to the interior building. The proposal is located at 1710 Kentucky Street (lengthy legal). Roosevelt Community Church, applicant; Kurt Ingram, contact person; Elsie Krueger, owner. Industrial, Light Land Use Designation. Roosevelt Neighborhood, Area 12.

You may comment on the proposal by sending written comments to the Planning Department, City Hall, 210 Lottie Street, Bellingham, WA 98225. All written comments should be received during office hours before the hearing, or you may submit them at the hearing if you include an additional copy for the recording secretary. You may also request a copy of the Hearing Examiner’s decision and your appeal rights.
