The City of Bellingham Hearing Examiner will hold a public hearing to take testimony on the following proposals:
CUP2013-00003 / VAR2013-00022
A Conditional Use Permit to expand a non-conforming use. This expansion is to create additional floor area for a new pharmacy from the previous mini-mart use. This expansion requires a setback variance to expand the existing building with a 400 square foot addition.
The variance is sought for relief from the required front yard setback of 60 feet from centerline of street (Sunset Drive). The property is located at 300 E. Sunset Drive, and legally described as the West 100.2 feet of Lot 1, Block 4, except the South 70 feet thereof, Squalicum Park Plat. Avtar S. Bisla, applicant; Manjeet Kaur, owner. Residential Single, Detached Land Use Designation. Sunnyland Neighborhood, Area 1.

You may comment on the proposal by sending written comments to the Planning Department, City Hall, 210 Lottie Street, Bellingham, WA 98225. All written comments should be received during office hours before the hearing, or you may submit them at the hearing if you include an additional copy for the recording secretary. You may also request a copy of the Hearing Examiner’s decision and your appeal rights.
