The City of Bellingham Hearing Examiner will hold a public hearing to take testimony on the following proposals:
SHR2014-00016 / SHR2014-00025 / VAR2014-00014
: Development of a single-family residence (SFR) on an existing platted and served lot. Project requires a shoreline conditional use permit because it is within a shoreline designated ‘Natural’ (SHR2014-00016). A shoreline variance is required because it is within the required 200-foot buffer associated with Chuckanut (Mud) Bay (SHR2014-00025). A land use variance is required in order to place the SFR as close to Sea Pines as possible in order to minimize impacts within the required buffer (VAR2014-00014). The Department of Ecology issues final approval of the shoreline permits. The property is located at 320 Sea Pines Road, and legally described as Lot B, Sea Pines Lot Line Adjustment. You may comment on the proposal by sending written comments to the Planning Department, City Hall, 210 Lottie Street, Bellingham, WA 98225. All written comments should be received during office hours before the hearing, or you may submit them at the hearing if you include an additional copy for the recording secretary. You may also request a copy of the Hearing Examiner’s decision and your appeal rights.
