The City of Bellingham Hearing Examiner will hold a public hearing to take testimony on the following proposals:
: Public Works Variance request from street construction and sidewalk width standards (BMC13.08.0580 and 13.04.110) for the subject property located at 1611 E. Maple Street, and legally described as Section 31, Township 38 N, Range 3 E. The Applicant has requested to reduce the width of Maple Street to 11' with parking/curbs/gutters/sidewalk, and to reduce the width of the existing sidewalk on the east side of Lincoln Street from 8' to 5' 8". : Public Works Variance request from street frontage (BMC18.36.020 B) for the subject property generally located on Orleans Street south of Whatcom Street, and legally described as the south 30 feet of Lot 29, Blk 17, Cedar Add to New Whatcom. The full applications are available for viewing at the address listed below. Staff reports will be available at the Planning Department approximately one week before the hearing.
You may comment on the proposal by sending written comments to the Public Works Department, City Hall, 210 Lottie Street, Bellingham, WA 98225. All written comments should be received during office hours before the hearing, or you may submit them at the hearing if you include an additional copy for the recording secretary. You may also request a copy of the Hearing Examiner’s decision and your appeal rights.
