providing this bulletin to inform you of a Level III Registered Sex Offender.
This bulletin is not meant to shock or alarm, but rather to
provide relevant information regarding this offender, his
criminal history, and his potential threat to the
neighborhood.

ISteven Rode was convicted in 1993 of Rape of a child 1st. His victim was a nine-year-old boy. Rode thretedn to kill his victim if he resisted the rape. He spent 21 months in counseling in a juvenile institution. He continued with counseling after his release.
Based upon his history and evaluation, Bellingham Police have rated him as a level III Sex offender and consider him a high risk to re-offend.
